Paul Candy

I grew up in the '60s with environmentally conscious farming parents, labelled "tree-hugging greenies" for planting trees and protecting waterways. I’ve proudly carried on their passion and have been involved in farming in some capacity most of my life.

My farming journey began as a farm cadet working on farms throughout New Zealand before settling on a lifestyle block near Helensville in 2000. I discovered regenerative agriculture through Nicole Masters, a transformative moment that has led to a world of discovery.

For the past decade, I’ve advocated for regenerative practices, encouraging others to explore the possibilities and understand the importance of soil health. My favourite quote "Soil is the tablecloth upon which our banquet is served".

“Soil is the tablecloth upon which our banquet is served.”
